Aimee Nicotera has been involved in the health and fitness industry for 20 years, as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, health educator and fitness director. Aimee has worked in commercial and corporate fitness settings, as well as coordinated and managed wellness programs for companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Seton Health Systems. Aimee has served as a Group Fitness Manager for Equinox Fitness Clubs, in addition to most recently holding the position of Fitness Director for Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA.
Aimee holds a BS degree in Nutrition Science and a MS degree in Health Education, as well as numerous fitness certifications, including those through ACSM, ACE, AFAA, Mad Dogg Athletics, and Schwinn. In addition to serving as an AFAA certification examiner and Kickboxing Specialist, Aimee also has extensive experience training new instructors, having developed and led a successful instructor training program for several years.
As a credentialed secondary educator in New York State and California, Aimee taught high school Health, Nutrition and Physical Education in both NY and California. This position allowed her the opportunity to help develop an after school fitness and nutrition program with the SOS Mentor organization. Aimee has extensive experience developing and leading exercise programs for youths, including coaching teens through marathon training programs.
Over the years, Aimee has enjoyed participating in various fitness activities, ranging from fitness competitions to marathon running and multi-sport racing. These activities have included 3 Boston Marathon finishes and one full Iron Man event.
Aimee brings enthusiasm and creativity to her group fitness classes, and aims to provide safe, effective and inspirational fitness programming. Aimee encourages her clients and participants to get fit and have fun doing it!
